Exciting news. The Panama Micro Finance Project has finally become a reality after 18 months. Though we only raised about $3000, a good friend and ministry partner was able to secure a donated bus.
That donation allowed us to use the money raised for shipping. The recipient of the bus will be repaying the Micro Finance Fund about $5000. Those payments will come from e3 Teams renting the bus while in Panama. The repayments will then be used to loan Panamanian Pastors and leaders funds to buy chain saws, sewing machines, crop sprayers and other income producing assets. When those funds are repaid, they are reloaned, etc.
Here is where your prayers are needed. The bus left Dallas, arrived in Ocala, Florida in order to get on a Panama bound ship on Oct 28. The paper work must be in order to get the bus out of customs in Panama. Where it is sitting right now. There are a lot of moving pieces. We have prayed and worked to get it right, but ... We need your prayers. Will you pray for 1 minute a day for the next 2 weeks?
